KN6000 Styles Wanted - 04/08/02 01:34 PM

I want to get hold of S/H KN6000 Style Disks - Any suggestions? I am particularly interested in Vintage/Theatre Organs and also all the other MDC. (I have a hard drive that desperately needs loading up).

Thanks Tone.

Maybe Technote webshop or a dealer would be
the right place for order those disks?

Tony, if someone sends you a batch of Technics commercial style disks, then shame on them! Most of us have paid a lot of money over the years for our style disks, and Technics has put out quite a few of them for us, but if we all gave them out to whoever asked for them, then who would develop any new ones? I paid $35 and up for my disks and I had a goodly amount of them. I would suggest you do the same, then do as most do and look out on the internet for styles from other brands to convert and recycle. Even then, you will find quite a few styles that were originally Technics and converted to the other brands. Just convert them back. You can also go to sites that offer kn6k styles for downloading, free of charge.

Please be advised that asking for suggestions is fine, but DO NOT make the mistake of asking for Copyrighted Styles on this forum. That is not acceptable use

Hi Tony
Sometimes then and then, this question comes up. Itīs not so difficult to made this styles. More easy than made midisongs, and I wonder how big the interest is here on the SynthZone for trading with Technics styles? I mean, myself and maybe some other members here, can made this styles, leave the copyright to Synthzone, and everybody will be satisfied.
Think of it BeBop...

Hi Lindoz
I am pretty sure you're talking about make new
styles, not a kind of copy of the existing
libraries around.
To share and swap "homemade" styles is common
activity around the web, but when people are so
good players and have a great talent as you, they
could even start a webshop of their own

Hi Tony
Have left you a message on the other side.
About Technics Styles. If you make yourelsf a member of the Techplus site then you will find that for the subsciption of say Ģ50 per year you will be able to access several very good free styles on the site equivalent to about six times the value of your sub.
regards,
Pete b.

Hi Gunnar
Sure I mean new styles, I made them myself, not copies. It should be much easier if SynthZone can handle such trading. I donīt have the time now.

Sure the trading of original styles is a great thing. The reason I don't provide an archive for styles here at Synth Zone is simply to avoid copyright complications if styles turn out to be not 100% original. It is just too hard to judge so I really don't want to be responsible. But if anyone puts their own styles on their homepage which most people can do, I'll gladly add their URL to the listings here at Synth Zone.
