Midi files

Hi, I have just purchased a cd with 20.000 midi files on it, i copied some with lyrics onto a disc and loaded them. all seems ok and the lyrics move with the tune when i press play, unfortunately there is no sound from the midi or any of the keys when pressed. can anyone enlighten me.

What are you trying to play them through? If a computer,is your midi out tied to your soundcard?

Thats a lot of midi files. did you mean 2000 and not 20000. I bought one from Style Disk Warehouse with 2000 Approx on and with that you just copy them to 3 1/2 disk and play them through the keyboard.

I had problems like yours.Have you tried downloading "www.vanbasco.com I did on receiving advice from a member,and it worked.Hope you sort it out.

thanks for your replies, i persivered with the floppy and it does play through 'direct play', is this normal? and yes the cd does say 20,000 midi files. i bought it on ebay for a fiver.
