How to cut and paste on to Post

I write a post on Microsoft Word, I press select all, the I press copy.
Go to the Submit Post on the forum, right click on message page, Then up to the top of the same page, select edit, select paste. Nothing happens.

I know it's must be a simple answer, but I have no clue.

Any help would be great, John C.

After copying into the clip board then go to the forum, click on post new topic, when the window opens put your curser in it and right click. select paste in the dropdown windwow and your post is pasted in the box, add your icons, signature or whatever and submit
