WHAT, NO KN8000??????? - 10/02/05 06:00 PM

Hi Guys!

All the hoopla over the Tyros 2, what about the KN8000? Has Technics quit making keyboards? I have been in a cocoon for a year and haven't checked out the forum. SURELY, by now, Technics should have hammered out a KN8000!!! I thought I would surely read a bunch of breathless Technic-ees praising it. (Pardon me if I grin) Fill me in, guys, when is the BIG unvailing of the KN8000? ~.~

IF you are serious, you will be saddened to learn that Mistushitsa (sp???) has decided to get out of the kb business ... The kn7000 is the last of the line ...

And if YOU are serious, thanks, Tony. I AM SHOCKED!!! What is the reason for their getting out of the KB business? With all the loyal BEBOPS on the forum, one would think they would be in the business forever. Surely not in fear of Yamaha, I would hope. Yamaha makes a good motorcycle and a pretty good piiiiiiii-an-ah but I always considered them a half step up from a Cas-see-oh when it comes to keyboards. After all, you can buy them in any discount store across the Nation. Money would be the only reason you might not buy the Tyros 2 at Wal-Mart or Radio Shack.

..... unfortunately I am serious ... who knows what causes corporations to make the decisions they do (other than the bottom line of course) ... even loyal BeBop has a TYROS2 on order and is looking to sell his technics boards ...

HI Kn7,
It seems that Panasonic has a better deal going for themselves. Go to the Bar here in the synthzone and read my post about what Matsushita/Panasonic is up to now. It would seem that it satisfies the stockholders as the stock has gone from under 12 when they closed out Technics to over 17 now with this new product line they are developing.
The other news is that the Engineering staff is the people that are/have developed the Tyros 2. according to what I have been told and read.
My guess is that the Tyros 2 is going to be a big seller in the technics world. I know of 8 people that already have ordered the Ty 2, including myself who was the first to order it.
That is my report

Thanks, Bebop and Tony -

As I said, I have been away from the forum for nearly a year and am somewhat embarrassed by my not being informed of what has taken place. I have scanned the features of the Ty 2 as well as the image and will comment on it with questions soon. Thanks, again.
