SD Card - 01/29/04 08:29 AM

'SanDisk' are about to release a 1Gigabyte SD Card - at $500 (£275, 403 Euro) it ain't cheap. I wonder how long it will be before it becomes affordable.

Good point - has anybody tried the 512 Meg card? Certainly I have used a 256 Meg card OK

Question. What minimum size card required to accommodate 99 folders with 20 songs in each

Re: SD Card - 01/31/04 05:28 AM

depends entirely what you save, how you save, whether you want audio and how you format the card. A song can be a midi file, or half the size for the same song a technics sequencer file. You can save space with 10 songs in the sequencer. A technics song may need composers, pads, sounds and effects. Put 20 styles in custom for 20 songs and you save even more space. If someone fills a card with performance saves I could probably re-organise the same information in half the space - equivalent to half the SD card size.

Alec
I am talking about the type of songs as posted on Cee's site.
