7000 buying advice - 03/11/03 09:24 PM

As I get older and seek ways to create memories, the possibilities of the 7000 intrigue me. Has anyone here really made a slide show of the family, complete with a sequenced song that can be viewed as a completed project - maybe viewed on a TV? I guess that's what I envision. Sort of like a snapshot but something really fantastic to hand down from generation to generation. Everything about the 7000 is great, sounds, Alec's and all other help on this forum, etc. But my main goal would be to get those special songs with pictures. Is it easy, are the pictures detailed, did it turn out like you thought? Any suggestions/comments appreciated because I have to start soon before I get too old.
Thanks,
Zuki

I'm not sure if you are asking just about a slide show playable on the KN-7000, or other options? If you were going to "hand it down", yuo might want to consider DVD as a way to do it.

Although I do video production for a living using some fairly expensive equipment etc., at home I use an inexpensive iMac with the free software that comes with it, and I can fairly easily create slide shows and videos for family. I add music that I create on my KN keyboard. I give them as Christmas gifts each year to my siblings and their families.

An "eMac" for about $1300 is the lowest priced Mac system that can do this - and it can create DVDs. . .

There's alot more details to it - but this might be a place to start looking/researching ...

Jim,
Thanks for the reply. By the no response, I assume that not too many use the SD feature to capture pictures and put music to it.
