Will 'TechManager 5000' run under 'Windows XP'?

I just got a new computer: Dell Dimension 8200; Pentium 4, 1.8 gigahertz, 512megbytes Ram & 40 gig HD running Windows XP home version. It also includes parallel port.

I need to know if the Technics KN5000 hard drive backup and data management software 'TechManager5000' will run under Windows XP home edition. This is a brand new model computer so I assume that it's parallel port supports bi-directional data transfer as required by 'TechManager5000'.

Input from people who have had experience running 'TechManager5000' under Windows XP will be greatly appreciated.

Hang onto your OLD computer just to use it with your KN5000. (I hope it's a laptop.) It's not just the new OS (XP) - you need that old-fashioned style parallel port. That hasn't been used in computers in about 3-4 years.

Hi, I have tested new Asus A7A motherboard with AMD 1.4GHz and the Techmanager is working with it and Win98. I don't know about XP but the parallell port seem not to be a problem. Other experiences? B.R. Matti
