EA5 vs GA1 - 12/24/99 04:26 PM

Hi,
I am currently researching organs on the net. The ones I am considering are mid-range ie: Yamaha El70t. Technics EA5. and Technics GA1.
Anyone have any views on these organs. is £3000 a good deal for GA1? Is the GA1 superior to EA5.

Any info you give will be gratefully acknowledged.

Cheers + Happy Xmas.

I have an EA-5 and have friends with GA-1 and 3s. The only thing that differs slightly between the EA-5 and GA-l is foot switches and a small improvement in sound quality. I have added speakers to the EA and it sounds as good as the GA-3 to my ears. Software works on EA and GA. I would rather have 2 foot switches but not at the cost difference....EA to GA.

Hi Tony

I have had the opportunity to work with the
EA5 and the GA1. I think that it all comes down to what is most important to you. I enjoy both of the instruments however, I find the GA to have better sound quality and I also find the screen to be easier to read, If you are going to be doing a great deal of sequencing and editing the nicer screen will really pay off- and save your eyes. Both are
very good instruments. Let us know which one you decide on!
