How does one make sure that a midi file has 'valid start and end commands' in the sequencer.... If possible, specific to a kn6000 ...

Bernie ... The midi plays fine in the kn6000 ... the problem I am having is trying to set up a CLS Auto Load Auto Start chain on the Hard Drive (SX 6) ... the first midi file loads and plays, then the next midi files loads, but does not start ... The instructions say that there must be valid start and end commands in the file ... I am looking for a way to determine whether or not the commands are there ...
I am also trying to find out if I am missing a step, doing something wrong, or have something else 'set' in the kb that is preventing the AS/AL ...
Do you use VanBasco? ... will this software tell me what I need to know?
thnx,
t.

I see. Bebop is right in that a software sequencer to see the event list or control panel. The KN7000 lets you look in the control track(usually #6)to see your setup. You might go into step edit and see that it has a note on message in the beginning.

I am on the fringe of information here. Maybe one of the more knowledgable guys can help.

Hi Tony
Try swapping the midi files round. You know that the current 1st midi starts OK but not the 2nd. A swap round should let you know whether the problem is with the midis or with the keyboard set up.
