TONY....

Sometimes I get cute little pictures in my mind in response to questions......

Spray some pressurized air...(The kind that comes in a can)....all around it & work it as you spray????

The kind of pressurized air that comes from the human mouth usually will not work....at least not as well! :-))

WD40 Tony, WD40. Spray that in there. We use that in the shop around our electrical stuff. Kind of like an exlax for electrical moving parts.

Grandpa Doug ... I was thinking of that, but did not know if it might do harm to something else in there ...
Perhaps I will just wipe some on the wheel with a cloth and see if that helps ...
thnx,

Hi Tony , and Granpa .
I'm not saying Granpa is wrong regarding wd40 .
I know tony , you love your kn6000 , electrical parts and electronic components can be very different . Heed this warning !!! get expert advice !!!

Many years ago I ruined the switches on my Roland drum machine unit (I forget the model number but it was the "business "
I had problems with a few sticking push buttons and I sprayed a some electrical spray cleaner (similar to wd 40 ) and it ruined the switches .
I took the unit to Rolands UK H.Q service dept and the engineer,
said that the switch contacts were made of a composite membrane and the solvent ruined about 8 switches which all had to be replaced .
The engineer said "I wish people would not spray cleaning solvents on specialist equipment without first getting the advice of the manufacture's service dept .

I hope it all goes well for you .

Keep making great Music !!!

regards ......to you and your great City of New York .

What the heck, Tony, go ahead, it ain't my board. Maybe turn it upside down and take the screws out. You can see the dog-gone thing and just wipe out the cobwebs and all the cracker crumbs over the years. I won't tell you what I found in mine a couple of years ago. Ruthie said, I told you not to eat and drink when you play that darn thing, your too clumsy!
