Your voice edits - 11/28/03 12:08 PM

I am a novice at editing voices on the KN7000. Do any of you have any edits you especially like working with? Especially drums, sop sax, and piano?
Can you post your settings so I and others who are new to this process can try them?
Thank you ahead of time!

Hi Tim,
there were quite a few edited voices in the new KN2600 styles converted for the KN7.
(On the kn700 website)

I used to do a bit of editing years back on some of my synths & my KN3. Didn't really know quite what I was doing ( just tinkering) so I haven't bothered since.

Alec's kn6 manual has about 3 pages on sound editing. I only just received it 3 or 4 days ago, so I'm still working my way through it.

After hearing some of the sound edits in those kn26 styles converted to the kn7, I must admit, sound editing has sparked an interest in me again.

I might extend the kn7 Styles & Pad yahoo group to include Sound Edit's as well.

best wishes
Rikki

Hi Tim,
I have some old KN6000 edits that most of the gang here has heard, but I still find them useful on the 7K. Go to the 6000 page of www.kool-keys.com and check the Sound Memory files in Kool Keys, Swing and Frank’s Strings downloads. You may want to check the Panel Memories too in order to see what sound processing was used, for that will help you get the final effect you are looking for. And don’t forget that panning and reverb help to position your sound on the sound stage - pan left or right - reverb forward or backward. Happy editing.
