HD Techmanager - 04/12/02 05:15 PM

Did you know that's very difficult to order
software ?
I know now....
I have a HD-sx6 in my kn6000
and I thought..maybe it would be a good thing
to have a program to maintain all the styles
on my computer and have a nice connection
between my Kn6000 and my HD..
But.....
Look at the website of KEY SOFT SERVICE www.keysoftservice.ch
Everything is under contruction...
when you send e-mail you hardly get an answer
and when you want to buy their software...:
NO ONE IS AT HOME....
The registrationcard that comes with the HD-sx6 is totally "not done" because when you register you'll never hear anything no more..

I think they have to change their name:
from KEY SOFT SERVICE into
just KEY SOFT.....
because they don't know what service is...

I purchased that hard drive for my keyboard, and it arrived DOA, as in Dead On Arrival. The brochure that arrived with it was not in English, even though it was shipped to an English only speaking country, United States. I returned both the drive and the tech manager to the US Dealer. My money was refunded. I hope the Dealer's money was refunded also. There was no way to contact them either. Live and learn. I would have a totally different name for them, Wim, but I won't get into that on a public forum. Just know that I am in agreement with you about their total lack of business acumen.

I didn't have any problems with keysoftservice.
I first bought a hdsx3 , ander after a while I regretted that I didn't buy the hdsx6.
Keysoftservice offered me an upgrade...I had to sent back the hdsx3 and they sent me a hdsx6.
I had to pay the difference.
I also bought the hdtechmanager6000 and everything works very good.
They are working on an upgrade for the hdsx6 .

I think once the kn7000 is arrived we will not need a hdsx3 or hdsx6 anymore.
We will operate through the usb port and with smard media cards.

I will surely buy the kn7000 and try to sell my kn6500 with hdsx6 and hdtechmanager.
I hope I'll have a good price.

Greetings,
Alain

I sympathise with Wim, the mail response is variable, although I have never had real problems getting a registration code etc (send a mail with subject REGISTRATION!), and not had any great problems dealing with Keysoft. In fact in the past they have gone out of their way to be helpful, lately the response is slower, and the website does need to be opened up again on the downloads.

You need to find a good dealer who will help you out. But I would wait for the new version software for the techmanager before buying anyway. It is a very useful system enhancemant for those with many styles and songs they want to organise, index and get to quickly.

Perhaps I should also say that the installation of the sx3 and sx6 needs to be done very carefully, since there are links on the underside of the board. Break one of these while manhandling and it will cease to work and need resoldering.

However, the Keysoft website don't work as it should, and it has been like this for quite a long time now !!
Just look into the update/support "member login area"....... DEAD, and most others are still under construction, as it have been as long as I can remember.

Hi
Seems that keysoftservice have given up their web site? Maybe we are too few people who are interesting in HDSX3 and 6. The market is a bit small isnīt it? However, Roland Schmid from the Keysoftservice, was together with the Technics and Tayo people on the Frankfurt Messe. But itīs a small company. Just two employers I belive. So what can they do?
I have always get answer on my mails to them anyway.

They should have updated the pages, or pull it
down.
The site have been this way for too long, and
half done work don't make it look much like a
reliable firm, eh?
But as long as there is reply to e-mails, the
existing and future KN owners should not worry
I guess.......

Gunnar!
I agree with you. The site is now looking like a road work place.
