Thank You Mike - 03/14/03 01:25 PM

Hi Mike;

What a great sound you have on that Glenn Miller Medley. It was like having the Band right in my music room.

Liked all your songs . My favorite of course was the Miller sound.

Welcome aboard and thanks for sharing.

Song No. 3 is called "Bring Him Home" (from Les Miserables). Obviously the standard built-in style was specifically for this song!

Thanks Mike, your're right -- I wondered what the Modern Opera style was intended for. It fits Bring Him Home very nicely. Maybe we can find other songs that will also fit.

Hi there Mike

Loved your selection - it is really interesting to hear rhythm/arrangements that someone else chooses. The 'Bring Him Home' backing I haven't previously used but I will do so now.

Keep them coming - one of these days I may even send in one of my amateurish efforts - some chance!

Re: Thank You Mike - 03/15/03 11:13 AM

Saturday Morning March 15.
I just forwarded 3 more songs that Mike sent to the list.
I think I need a KN7000 just to play and enjoy these songs. Everyone is telling us how great all these KN7000 songs from everyone are, and I can't hear them.
Would anyone like to convert them to KN6000 and send them to us poor folks

Hi Mike,
Thanks for a great set of songs from yet another very talented player. I particularly enjoyed "Give My Regards To Broadway".
BEBOP I'm afraid converting these to 6000 format is not within my capability. As you know I had some success with converting 7000 Custom Style Files to 6000 format a while back but it was a somewhat tedious process which cannot be applied to other file types. Just had a thought though. I still have my 6000 as well. I was wondering if it's possible to re-record them on the 6000 by playing them on the 7000 connected via MIDI to the 6000. Perhaps Alec might have some comments on the feasibility of such an approach.

Cheers

"The Way We Were" goes very nicely to this style.

Hi there

The Modern Opera rhythm seems to fit most of Andrew Lloyd Webber's ballads, try "Music of the Night", "Memory" and "I Don't Know How to Love Him". If you reduce the music speed to about 63 then play "All I ask of you" - fantastic.
