Woofer designed for our keyboards

Woofer designed for our keyboards - 07/09/05 01:57 PM

When the KN2000 and KN3000 came I purchased a small Yamaha speaker. A woofer. When I played the woofer turned itself on. When I stopped playing after a minute or two, it turned itself off ?Fantastic. I use it with my KN7000, it adds so much. I?m guessing it is about 60 Watts. The speaker has a control (variable crossover) allowing you to select the range of amplification.

Have they made any speakers like this to compliment the keyboard?
I am talking about a speaker that is made with the keyboard in mind, not the computer speakers.

This one is available in UK - not sure about USA availability. I've got one attached to my KN7000 and it certainly enhances the overall sound and produces a real meaty bass. It also has the variable crossover function.

Hi Willum,
What do you think about the KAS200S, should we could use this for our KN7000 ?

Willum, thank you for your answer. Knowing that you are using a sub kinda makes me feel I'm on the right track.
They do not sell the subs you mentioned here in the USA, might I ask what the cost was.

Thank you again, John C.

JOHN C.....Several years ago I got a Yamaha subwoofer with the purchase of one of my KN's....probably the 5K...

It is a small black box that sits under my 7K now & plugs in to the back of the KB & comes on with the KB....

There is a volume control, & a high/low control. One big speaker & one very small one....Probably got it in Phoenix, AZ...

It does a great job! I just read your initial post here....sounds like you may have the same one.....

Elizabeth, I think they are the same, I love it, one wire for electric and another to the output of the keyboard. Simple and very nice.

Have a special day, John C.

Hi
I bought a set of Logitec speakers comprising of a subwoofer and two monitor speakers and I'm very pleased with them, they certainly bring out the bass notes.

Hi Jack
I have the KAS200S on my kn7 and it is excellent. I bought it from Technote and thought at the time that it was a little bit expensive but it makes tremendous diffenrence to the sound. The subwoofer box is 120watts and the 2 monitors which run of it can cope with 100 watts. Ideal for home or a small/medium venue. I would recommend it but suggest you go onto the technote site and have a look at the specifications.
