KN7000 - 06/12/02 10:46 AM

Evenin' All,

According to the Techplus magazine received today, Technics are launching the 7000 on 13 July, and a full review of the keyboard will be in the August edition of the magazine.

Not long to wait now !

My dealer was told by Panasonic that the new keyboards were close to shipping (at no charge) and they would be keeping a close watch for any bugs that may develop. I expect I will be instore when the units are delivered and assist in the breakin process. And, they did state that the memory cards used would be the same ones available in most stores - compact flash memory modules, I hope. Auction prices run about $80 + shipping for a 256 meg chip. More expensive than cd-rw's but more reliable and no moving parts. I'm already putting Mama's pennies into wrappers - with anticipation!

Hi Ogre! Just a quick question: what date is the latest Techplus mag you received? I have subscribed to the printed version (after downloading for over a year) but haven't yet received a single copy by mail. Thanks for the info. (You can post here or e-mail me any response.) Happy playing.

Hi Ted,

This was in the June,2002 edition which I received about three days ago. It doesn't give any info about the keyboard, just describes it as a "corporate product launch of the KN7000, PR604 and PR804 on July 13th."

If you haven't received the mag within the next few days you should ask for your money back!! If it's coming by seamail you'll probably have to wait till Christmas...
