Getting midi files with lyrics working on KN5000

Getting midi files with lyrics working on KN5000 - 08/16/01 02:35 PM

I have downloaded some free "karaoke" files from the Net. I have converted them to midi format 0 but when I load them on the KN5000 they play the music (through Direct Play) but don't display the lyrics.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what to try next?

Thanks

Torrent, I am separately emailing you a file that I know works with the KN5000 so that you can test your keyboard. The files need to be in Tune 1000 format.

Hi Bob & Torrent
I'm wondering if those of us with the KN5000 internal hard drive can load lyrics into other types of MIDI files? I know that I received some type of lyrics software when I bought the HD. I don't really use MIDI files, so I never fooled around with the software. Maybe Scott Yee can answer this?

Right! Sussed it now.
I downloaded a utility off the net called kar2mid that allows you to convert midi file with lyrics (or text) to a keyboard compatible format (Tune1000, Cakewalk 3, etc).

Anyone interested in more info then contact me at torrent@home-address.freeserve.co.uk

Hi Torrent, I am most interested in finding this program for putting lyrics on my 6000 screen, I have tried to do this so often without success, thanks a lot friend, Johnny Barr.
