2008 Florida Keyboard Conference - 04/03/07 11:37 AM

Forum Friends,

Bernie and Jim are busy picking the venue and selecting the dates for our 4th Jam. John C will be assisting them in putting together an interesting schedule of events with more thought towards work shops.

We have grown through the years and anticipate an attendance of 50+ for 2008.

The date and particulars will be announced on the forum soon, with plenty of time for you to plan to attend.

Re: 2008 Florida Keyboard Conference - 04/25/07 03:15 AM

Yes, we are at work to bring us the best ever.

The date has been established as March 18,19,and 20(Tues-thur), and the location will be at the Legion hall in Holiday,FL.,outside Tarpon Springs.

It is about 50% larger than the Anthony location, with separate rooms for different activities. Pianotuna(Bob Rippe) has kindly offered to secure the facility, and scout possible group rates, attractions. etc.

Besides the three of us, We are expecting tutorial input from our U.K. friends and others which have not yet been approached.

Having separate rooms will enable us to conduct several sessions at once. Some may opt for the more involved features of the KN7000, while some may want to brush up on some of the everyday features, perhaps overlooked by many. We want to provide valuable information to all levels.

We haven't established a price of admission yet, but, it should be $20-$25, leaving some to build a some reserve.

More later

Roger, I am not sure why you are not coming to the jam – if it BE the dollars we would have taken an American collection. Always ready to help the needy.

John
If you had his money, you could give yours to me, and we all would be well off.

Bernie, I have better idea – we do spend a lot of money buying and selling keyboards. Soooooo, why don’t trade from time to time never losing ownership of the original keyboard. It must be done with trusted friends, and you must have more than one keyboard. One to work with and one to share.

John that could work. I always have my KN7000, and have traded my Pa800 for a G-70. Who knows from here. I keep thinking I should have a backup for the Technics, but it may outlive me.
