How To create Music CD From KN7000 - 07/26/05 12:15 PM

I am trying to create a CD from a KN7000 with some sample songs to use as marketing tool in getting playing jobs. I tried to use the 2 methods of recording in the manual and then saving to diskette. However when I take the diskette to my PC and use a MIDI to MP3 conversion software I get the song but no rythmn with the song. Does anyone know how to do this?

Hello,

What I do is the following:
1. Connect the KN7000 via the USB line to your PC (Panasonic USB driver must be installed from the CD that you got with the Keyboard)
2. Download and install the freeware tool "Audacity"
3. In Audacity: in Audacity configure the I/O in File... Preferences
4. Press the record button and directl;y afterwards the start button on the KN7000.
5. At the end of the song, stop the recording. Now you can correct gain, cut off silent beginning or ending, and more. You can save the recording as wav or mp3. When you save as wav you can byrn an audio CD from it.

Hope you succeed.

Kind Regards, Fred

There is a program called - midi2wav - available at midi2wav.com that will take MIDI files, save your Technic files as MIDI, and convert them to WAV files. Once done Burn the converted files, I use NERO, to the cd. On a 60 min CD I can put 22 wav songs on it. Put the finished CD in any CD player and enjoy. Home this helps Dick
