zenyx 802 - 08/23/13 06:41 AM

I've decided on one of these so I can have two mics with the pa3x but I have a question.
Can I plug the unit into the pa3x or do I have to go thru the PC
It says it comes with usb connection which is no good to me. I have to be able to route the vocals thru the pa3x.

Plug direct into the Mic input. You don't need USB to do this.

Thanks Dave.
Now a musician friend has advised against Behringer and suggested I look for a better brand. I will search some more tho the Behringer price is attractive and I don't really need all the bells and whistles. Or do I?

Well, the keyboard has built in effects, so, a simple mixer would be fine. Mackie has one for under $75, I think. Check features. Behringer gets a bad rep from service ... but I have one and it's fine.

I've gone ahead and ordered the 802. $89 post free in OZ. The Mackie was$145. My first venture into this type of equipment.
It's supposed to have a good manual. Hope it's not in Mexican.

Good luck ... mine sits on my studio desk and works like a charm!

I,m pleased with the xenyx now that I've fooled around with it.
I found I had to turn the gain on the 3x down a bit and use the xenyx's gain for more effect. I don't notice any loss of tone but I get a little background noise thru the pa system which doesn't appear to come out on the mp3 recording.
I can't touch the pan tho. It screams like a banshee if I even touch the pan knob. I haven't worked out the fx knob yet. Maybe UD can tell me how to utilize it.
