Sharing files between VS880 and VS880EX

I have a Roland VS-880 expanded system (3 of 'em, actually), and I have a friend who has a VS-880EX. I was hoping I could send him some tracks to load into his system, have him lay down some guitar tracks, and then send the zip disc back to me so I could load them back into my VS-880 for mixing/mastering.

Does anyone know if these files are compatible?
