CDr Vs. DVD

Can you and is there any advantage to using a blank DVDr disk in a CDr recorder?

What is the best CD-r disk (mfg./source?)
to use in a realtime CD recorder to record music?

I'd appreciate any thoughts

Can not do... DVD needs a DVD read and write drive.

I have had success with different brands..
