Does the diameter of the mic(condenser) matter when recording vocals(hip hop and singing)???

Bigskee...NO to your question. In my early working life I was Representing a Condenser (Capacitor) Microphone manufacture. We used to supply BBC & Commercial Studios. Our Pro mics had diameter where only approx 2cm. I have myself done some good vocal recordings from small condenser tieclip mics mounted in a dummy head arrangement. Most of the Top Pro singers carry there only favourites with them. Many at that time used the Reslo Ribbon to give there voice a rich character.
