I've heard the M1s before and I don't quite like them. Personally I think the Yamaha NS10m are better.
I'd suggest you check out Dynaudio BM15, Spirit Absolute series and the Tannoy Reveals. Also a good choice would be the Mackie HR.

Yamaha has a new pair of bi-amped monitors out the "MSP-10". Its a bigger and better version of their MSP-5(which are incredible for the price!!!!!). Also they have released a subwoofer to match the msp-10's. Yamaha always gives you alot of bang for the buck...
