New OS 4.0c is here !!

Hello everyone, I just downloaded the new SD1 OS < I will install it and later let you know.....!!

What software should I install on my original SD1 (4.0b right now) ???

# Original Software Upgrade per SD1
# Standard Software
# Upgrade per SD1 Plus

What are the differences between these 3 "versions" of this upgrade??
I don't understand...

UPDATE 4.0 c

1) Voice reserved number changed in preset/program
2) New selection added to the menu dynamic arranger to assign more voices
reserved to the right or left hand
3) Tempo song fixed
4) Transposer added changing voice in demo-hit

If you have the SD1 4.0 with OLD sounds take : # Original Software Upgrade per SD1

If you have the SD1 4.0 with NEW sounds take : # Standard Software

If you have the SD1 PLUSSSS take : # Upgrade per SD1 Plus

I will test it tonight.
Someone say to me that some sounds are little different.
He say to me that the sound called STACK is buggy, but it's not a problem cause we can modify the preset voices.

About the style without intro, I have the style corrected, but if you want to replace it, it need a complete reinstallation of the flash ROM styles in 3 disks.

My french repair man put them for testing in my SD1, but 1) you lost all your styles modifications, 2) All the styles are Upper case...
So I think we must wait a little more...

Well... I'd better not upgrade from 4.0c Bèta to 40.c 'Final' then.

I truly was hoping for a 'total repair' of all known bugs. A huge disappointment !!

I installed 3 days ago the new OS, I have been busy and not able to make many test, but so far, voice dynamic alocation a HUGE improvement, is nice to have the transposer for the Demo & Hit....so far.....so good !!!....I am very HAPPY !! so far. I will post any new findings.

It is not mentioned in the upgrade instructions, but (Block)registrations are gone after update and midi-setup as well !

So,save BR's to harddisk/FD BEFORE upgrading.

Well, for most keyboards that are upgradable like Ketron/solton or for that matter ANY brand, when you install a new OS......you will lose registrations, midi set ups, programs, Power On set up, etc....years ago, since I got my fisrt X1 and then my SD1s......every time I change the OS, I previously save all the above....that also happens to other brands too.....not matter what.
So far in the SD1 4.0c, I have notice no drop outs so far.....still more testing to do.
