AJ help - 02/16/03 06:10 PM

AJ, every time I save the settings of a midi file on the XD9, it causes the file to jump a half a beat when it starts. Is there a way to get the set up that I want for a song, and have it begin exactly on the 1st beat when I press start?

Dan,

Did you resolve this (I''ve assumed you have hence not posted a response)?

Thanks,

OK ....

each song is a different in size . So obviosly something happened , but "why" I don't know .

Did you use software or edit

I could not hear a tremendous difference between the 2 files . I'll play on my SD1 tonight . By chance , does it make a difference if the drum remix feature is engaged ? Dan

Dan, Remix doesn't make any difference. I think the reason that the files have a different size is because the XD9 sticks in some sysex or something when you save the file. All I changed was the file name.
All I know is I don't get the complete bar played.

Hey You guys forget about me?
I found a way to treat the symptom but it's not the real cure. If the midi file has an extra bar in the beginning, and the song mode in the utility menu is set to"fast GM", that works.
