Caring mostly for rock, country and pop styles and looking around for the most natural sounds what should be my choice, xd-9 or pa-80 or something else ?

Tough choice ... there are good and bad in both boards. Both have great drums, but the Ketron patterns have a country "edge".
The Korg has better piano's and electric pianos. The Ketron has a better harmonizer. Better play them both ALOT first. It's like choosing a Caddilac or a Lincoln - both pretty fine choices.

a Folk .... Based on my experience with the Pa80 (I have an SD1, owned a PA80) for live playing and overall functionality I would go with the Ketron. BUT, and this question comes up constantly, it is what turns you on that makes the most sense!!!!

I do a LOT of Country. The Korg is very limited in its country styles. Doesn't even have a basic CW shuffle or Shoddish (2/4 country). I had to create my own. I liked a lot of the sounds and a lot of the styles, but not for Country. Ketron wins the CW war.
Also, the PA80's weakness in the intro/fill department and the lack of a decent harmonizer disqualified it for me.
