I think this is the main screen of the SD9 pro

But indeed they should make use of the area where currently the style selection resides to show much much more information

You are right Bachus however it's not clear..We need a screen clear with all info that we need in a main screen like Audya, Korg, Yamaha...

Look at the Genos
The sd9 should have something like this in the main screen..
Or atleast in the selection area of the screen...

there is no single static "main screen" on the new range. Those are a thing of the past! The whole point of a touch screen is not to simply show you what is selected...its to make live use easier and to give you options that would be difficult with hardware controls

The relavent information is at the top and that all that is required in my oppinion. The rest of the screen is reserved for live use. For example if your playing with Styles you may want the Voice and Vari option open.

If thats the Genos Main screen (I cant imagine it is though) - what use is it during live use? I see very little on that screen that would be needed when playing.

No... This is not the Main screen of Genos...This is from the Voice Part... Here is the main screen.. Zoom in..

Dear friend Tonewheeldude, I disagree with this....
In a live gig is very difficult without a main screen...
I saw the SD9Pro, from a friend and I don't like this....

This is what I mean about a fluid screen.

The top section of the screen on the new Ketron series is always there - and you can touch those areas for quick access to styles or sounds, but the main part of the window changes depending on how you want to use it. This particular page is the Voice and Vari screen and is the one that I find useful when playing, but others are available depending on how you wish to operate the keyboard. Granted the Genos main screen looks pretty in the photo you posted, but it seems a case of Function follows Form. The Ketron display on the other hand is not so nice looking but far more usefull in my oppinion. The two companies are clearly approaching their instruments in a difefrent way.

Re: Sd9 improvements and new features will come - 10/27/17 01:03 AM

Hi Sokratis, the sampler is not complete so at moment you can't access it, some new function like half bar, new filter real time it's more fast to make

Re: Sd9 improvements and new features will come - 10/27/17 01:25 AM

Hi pastroccio...
Ok... Therefore the correct specification in the site should be:
User Memory: 400mb (not 700mb) and the functions of sampler comming soon...
We need to know about it before we buy it...
A friend of mine bought the SD9Pro, and before that he sold the Audya 4, and now he can not work because he used a lot of sounds from the Sampler..
I wonder if that is right to do???

I know, you are right
It's not correct, I try to ask another time

Maybe we should give you a small list of questions before your next visit?
Its certainly nice to have a semi direct line to Ketron in Italy

Just womdering wen there will be an sd9 pro module with all and every feature?

I am womderin what Ketron Italy is going to do to reastblish the confidence of many possible international buyers in Ketron

The sd9 pro even with the new Genos, looks to be the most advanced arranger of them ALL

Re: Sd9 improvements and new features will come - 10/27/17 09:05 AM

Bachus, I don't know about module, there is a sd40 like sd7
Ketron is not big like yamaha, it's little, in Italy, but for me make the best arranger, natural, easy ecc.
You want the best right sound ? ok maybe genos is the best. but not editable, if you want program, edit full sound you need pa4x
You need 3 keyboards for have the best. You must decide what you need and what you like. I read some like "sd9 styles is not so complete like yamaha ecc)... my answere is that with modelling of sd9 you can make a style in a minute, you can have user audio drum live guitar. that make the different. I think Ketron idea is for the arranger... Maybe the keyboards is like a girls.. You prefer blonde, I prefer slim ecc

Re: Sd9 improvements and new features will come - 10/27/17 12:31 PM

... and don't forget how realistic are the styles : 8, 16 or 32 measures with slight differencs inside (not straight) for drums, bass, ... like my Audya.

The thing tht makes Ketron really interesting is modules...
I know for ome that overhere in Holland the sd40 sold better then the sd7
Just seems logical that there will be a high end module
Just like there was an audya 4..

For people playing stage piano’s or accordeon or guitar.. a module is the only way to go..

Just ask them when they will release a module, and tell them not to cut any features like they did on sd40 compared to sd7..

"tell them not to cut any features like they did on sd40 compared to sd7"

Bachus, what features did they cut from the SD7 on the SD40?
I'm curious as I own the SD40.

Re: Sd9 improvements and new features will come - 12/04/17 10:38 PM

The things that I don't like what they did with the SD40 is the elimination of important arranger physical buttons like intro, reintro, endings, sync start/stop etc and made them screen-based that virtually inaccessible when you're displaying lyrics! Intros and mic/harmonizer volumes, harmony types are still not saved on registrations. Piano sustain are messed up when re saving SMFs. Other than these, it's a great arranger module.

There are no Ram sounds on the SD40 so it is NOT an SD7 in module form.

Re: Sd9 improvements and new features will come - 12/08/17 06:40 AM

I will believe these improvements when I see them.

As the owner of a Midjpro, I am still waiting for a fix so that the module remembers edited sounds when used in a style or registration.
You can edit a right hand sound, save it in either a style or a registration and when you reload it, it gives you the original un-edited sound.

Also, there is no way to access edited sounds without leaving style mode and voice mode and then you have to go into the Hard Drive file manager.

What is the point of being able to edit sound if you can't use them?

Ketron now has another disappointed user who will not buy another until they make their products work properly (and do so promptly too rather than years later).

"There are no Ram sounds on the SD40 so it is NOT an SD7 in module form."

Hmmmm that's contradictory to what AJ told me when I purchased the SD40, he said the SD40 has the sounds Already loaded in to the HD unlike the SD7 that can only load in two at a time into Ram.

Unless I misunderstood what he was telling me.

Re: Sd9 improvements and new features will come - 12/11/17 03:51 AM

An Ajamsonic SD40 from AJ may have some RAM sounds which AJ has installed but the standard SD40 is missing the RAM sounds which are on the SD7.
I know this because I was going to buy one (thinking it was a SD7 module) but changed my mind when I found out that there were no RAM sounds and since I've had these problems with my Midjpro, I thought I had better forget Ketron before they shake me down again.
