New OS 5.3 D

Now available in page www.ketron.it the new version of the audyas, version 5.3 operating system D, hope to be definitive and improve our keyboards.

This time in ketron they have been quick, hopefully also have been efficient and get a keyboard (I think that is still the best on the market) according to the price in which to sell it.

For now it seems that it is only the version of the software for Audya 76 (very strange),

I just gave it a short try...

(dot)12_8_BALLAD still the same problem...

If you change from Var a to B ( or similar, with activated "AutoFill" ) the display shows "FILL1 >>" and doesn´t change.

Sometimes the drums were muted again.

I didn´t try any other style yet and I´m not in the mood for that at present time...

KETRON, did you change anything but the NAME of the file ?

I now re-installed the Pendrive 2011 ( and also 2012 and UK ), now at least the 12_8_ballad works correct.

I´m testing a bit more

Hmmm, I´ve got 2 registrations ( switching from "VAR A" to "VAR B", style = Shuffle_blues ).

After a few bars the drums were muted, the display is "10 seconds behind reality" and sometimes doesn´t change it´s content...

If I select the variation "by hand" everything seems to work fine...

Update :

Styles now ( after re-installing the 2011-pen-drive ) work fine.

BUT :

A few of my registrations ( created under OS 4.2 / 5.0 ) still have problems.

If I call a style and any settings wanted "manually" everything ist fine.

If I call it via registration(s) ( that worked excellent under 5.0 / 5.2 ! ) the style(s) often hang directly after intro1.
If I start with a main variation after a few bars the drums and / or bass stop(s) playing.

This is with completely different styles ( as well "(dot)" and "^" styles ). All are FACTORY-STYLES !

Ok, I don´t have that much registrations, I can create them new and will give you information if works then.

P.S.: The "(dot)WALTZ" style called via a registration works, but called "manually" I got "corrupted style".

Strange, very strange.

I did a filesystemcheck via PC ( and as well a defragmentation, even though it should´nt be done with ssd-drives ), no errors found.

Can someone post what's new?
And why should we update?

Update is done,no problems.
And Leezone,this are the improvements.

1. Improved and optimized management of Usb Pen Drive containing many files.
2. Extended Wave file compatibility with size less than 256Kb in User Audio Drums.
3. Make improvements on MP3 compatibility with Lyrics
4. Place some optimizations of the operating system.
5. Fixed some minor anomalies.

I'm afraid I also have many, many problems, as described above. I might go back to an older OS, 5.3D does not do it for me & I put a lot of effort into creating my registrations.

Back to OS52A & everything working again. To think of the risk involved concerning power failures etc. during the new OS install.

Ketron, you'd better test your new software before releasing it.

i think i will stick to what i have and not upgrade till Ketron fixes/tests this OS

Your OS will work fine if you do not have many preset registrations & also if you do not use many modified styles from other arrangers.

We use ONLY registrations for performances & these behave badly with the new OS. I'm not willing to create my registrations from scratch again as a lot of effort went into it & I have a great number of them.

I can live without the few upgrades the new OS brings.

So in effect:

Ketron should go look & see what they changed in the regisgration software from OS5.2 to OS5.3 There is an error in the new code somewhere. If you cannot find it, at least put that section of the original code in again & all should be fine.

OS 5.2A seems to be the best one yet. Unfortunately I do not have email right now. I sincerely hope someone would be so kind as to mail you a copy rather soon. You can install it. I promise it's good.

I´m not at home at the moment, but as far as I remember a "already solved problem" is back :

If you use "user styles" and want to set different instruments for variations A,B,C,D you cant´switch the instrument categories anymore...

An example :

Your RightHand (RH) is set to "Grand_Piano".
You enter the "edit mode" and choose "Grand Piano" for variation A.

Now you can´t change another instrumentbank than the selected "Piano".
You have to leave the screen ( back to MainPage ), then choose "Brass" Bank, enter the edit mode again and now change a brass-instrument for variation B.

Leave again, select akkordeon-bank, then choose musette for variation C and so on.

I´m quite sure that this issue has already been solved in 5.2, maybe as well in 5.0.

In my audya 76 I choose one my user style converted with no voice to style so press style mode , go in A B C D voice option and I can choose all preset and program category without exit from the screen

b musette
c nylon
d orchestral string
I don't have your problem... please if anyone have audya 76 try...

I now re-installed the 5.0A and then the 5.3D again.

Now it´s working again as it should ( regarding styles ).

The problem with "old registrations" ( and struggling styles ) still persists...

5.3 D sucks big time.

It messed with my keyboard really bad I think I will sue Ketron for damage.

That's what I had to do, Henni. I successfully downgraded to the unofficial 5.2...We're moving backwards...

To be honest,

The list of what was upgraded does not make me feel I'm loosing out on anything.

I suspect that Ketron changed the registrations to no longer contain the style used as a new copy protect system. But then I might be wrong...

Hello rather than starting a new topic, I post here as it concerns 5.3D
After installing 5.3D, everything was ok ...but, since I switched off the Audya, I have lost the fonction "Voice to Arrange"

Annoying as all my registrations use it....all the values (voices) are in the regs, they are loaded but changing variation doesn't change the voice anymore
Anybody concerned too?

I´m not close to my instrument, if I remember correct :

- Button "STYLE-MODE"
- Button 1/5 ( to switch to table 2 )
- Button F5
- Cursor Left/right to toggle between "On" and "Off".

With Button F10 you can activate it for a specific style, with F5 global.

I got a solution how to "fix" the rpoblem with hanging sytles / stopping accompaniment when using "old" registrations.

Call the registration, ( remember the style-tempo you set if it´s not factory ! ), choose any other style and thereafter choose the sytle that was saved in the "old" registry ( and set the desired tempo ! ). Now save the registry. From now on it works as it should;)
