Mexican Styles for Audya? - 06/24/14 04:16 AM

Buenos Días,

Does anybody know if there any popular Mexican dance styles available for Audya? Yamaha, Korg, and Roland have many so I assume there must be some for Ketron out there? In particular I need:

1. Banda (polks)
2. Banda "Vals"
3. Noteña (polka)
4. Banda Balada
5. Tex-Mex (polka)

~Gracias~

Point well taken Leezone. I forget that not everyone here is Mexican or surrounded by Mexican culture like we are here in the Southwest U.S. It impossible not to hear this music in these parts.

Here's a banda balada. The "banda" doesn't kick in until about 30 seconds.

Here's a contemporary Tex Mex Polka which is VERY different Italian and German polkas on the Audya. Notice the bass drum does not play quarter notes throughout. The TX Mex polka bass drum is more sparse and sometimes syncopated. Also the fills in Tejano music are more aggressive than the European polkas. Sort of a rock drummers interpretation of polka.

Here's some more banda. Notice that a the drums do not play throughout. Also a standard drum kit is not used. It more of an old fashioned marching band percussion section. Tuba is used instead of a bass guitar.

Here's some Norteña (polkas from Northern Mexico) Hear how totally different it is from the Tex-Mex(Tejano) polka? The Northern Mexican style polka is much closer to the European polkas. Still the drums and bass are a bit more driving.

montuno,

i love those tex-mex, especially the voices, behind, laughs, ariiba, etc.

those yamaha styles are nice, they would sound even nicer in AUDYA, if tweaked of course
