Styles from MS40 collection won't play in Audya - 04/17/14 02:21 PM

I'm trying to bring forward some old favorite patterns that I used in my MS40 for years. They were on a floppy disc so I moved them to a zmate memory stick where I have a lot of newer patterns I use in the Audya. When I insert the zmate memory stick into the Audya everything is normal and I can find them on the stick and load them but they will not start or play. I've compared the "properties" of these to the properties of others that do work and they look exactly the same. Any thoughts?

Hi Gary,

a lot of things donīt work via USB-Stick directly.

Copy them to AUDYAs harddisk and try again.

Right you are Snoopy, just can't figure why a few hundred other patterns (most of them I got from this group) on that same stick work just fine and most of them are from other brands of boards. I don't add any patterns to my Audya because they work just as well from the usb stick.

update... I just loaded a couple of these patterns into the Audya. They appear in the window of the Audya as normal but for some reason they cannot be selected (clicked on and highlighted for use) ????? The "corrupt file" indication appears at the top of the screen. They do still work in the old MS40 machine.

I think you need to convert them to SD1 format. I have several of my old MS50 pats working fine on my Audya but they would not work until converted. The SD1 had a converter on board.

Hi Bobby, maybe that's the answer, thanks. I'll look into how to do that (don't have an SD1 but there must be another way)

Thanks for the reply
