AUDYA - MP3+G? - 03/26/14 09:40 AM

I want to buy a Karaoke background as the background vocals are real in the audio recording..will an MP3+G not only play the song, but also display the lyrics as it would on a computer or Karaoke machine?

AJ got back to me. For anyone who wants to know, I asked about MP3, wav or MP4 and he said:

"None of the above. If using Mp3 or Wav, you will have to find it, type the lyrics as a text file and save it with the same name as the audio and place in the user folder in AUDYA.

When you play the song for the first time, turn the pages then save. When next you play the song, Audya will automatically turn the page at the right time. Karaoke format (underlining or highlighting the song words) is only available with karaoke midifiles.

However, I don't really understand what he means by "turn the pages". I have never attempted anything like this..

I take guess... in case your text is too long to be shown entirely on your display, you should scroll right in time whenever it's needed. And then again, maybe Audya will remember your pace of scrolling and it will sync it automatically next time... I'll try it myself when I'll get home...

This is really awesome indeed - if it's as simple as that!

Hi Guys,

it IS as simple as that !

Either you do it the way mentioned OR you use a software ( e.g. WinAMP with Lyrioke-Plugin ). Then you can add timestamps to the textfile on your computer.
Then copy the textfile to the Audya and have fun.

Textfile and MIDI-File MUST HAVE EXACTLY the same name.

This is my song.mid
This is my song.txt

will definetively work !
