Ketron SD series update

Just to let you know that Ketron are updating the SD3, SD5 and SD8 series. The updated versions feature SD card reader and USB port. They will also play MP3 files directly from the SD card or USB as well as connect to other Pheripharals containing Midi data, MP3 or styles.

I saw the usb port news on Ketron.it. Is that all from them at Musikmesse? If so, is the pricing remaining the same on an sd5? If not, getting a retrofit from AJ may be more cost effective. And are they available with these upgrades now, or have they not moved to/off the assembly lines?

This is a new update - the current floppy emulator with a USB port is already available from any good Ketron distributor, but it does have drawbacks - the software that enables you to use a USB stick only works correctly on Windows XP. If you are using any other OS it means your USB stick will only hold 1.44mb of data...which is a bit of a waste. This will still be available however because it is usefull if you do have a WinXP computer available.
