How to load a Single Program (SPG) into your main Program Bank

Lets say we want to load FAST STRINGS.spg

1) First find a program sound you don't want to keep - idealy from the same section, in this case: STRINGS. I am going to choose "BASS SEC&VIOLIN" as I never use it.

NOTE) If you want to back-up this factory program, press EDIT, SAVE, followed by USER 4/9 (Save To Disk). You will now find that program in your USER DATA folder for later use.

2) Select DISK. make sure you are in the root directory and locate the USER DATA folder. Press ENTER

3) Hilight FAST STRINGS.spg (with the cursor keys) and press ENTER to load

4) Press EDIT, then SAVE followed by USER 5/10 (SAVE)

Now when you select PROGRAM followed by the STRINGS category you should see FAST STRINGS next to the F9 touch button

Thanks TWD. This is just what I needed, I forgot "Program" was needed. The only thing different was that I had to use the Save button instead of the 5/10 save,

With the new program in place, I was able to edit my voice list and include them. I did this only because I find it faster to access my most used sounds from one or two voice buttons.

I have loaded them into user data and then into programs ok but none of them play in below middle c on the keyboard. How can I correct this? (in other words the top half of my accordion keyboard where the lower sounds would be)

Hi Gary

Not having an Audya4, I don't really know except mine function as any other. I would look at the split point, but yours is different I guess. Since it is midi, you must have a range setting.

Hi Bernie,
I experimented with moving the set-point that can be seen in
the display window but it didn't affect the keys that do
not play. I'm thinking it may be a setting within the programs themselves. I was just trying the 3 guitar sounds and haven't
downloaded any of the others (organs, strings, etc.)

I need to check, but you are probably right as Ian uses a middle C split point in concert for some sounds.

Its not difficult to change the key range in edit view of the program. If you need I will do some instructions tomorrow.

To change the key range of a User Program

load the voice (either single program from USER DATA or a Program from the PROGRAM BANK)

Select EDIT

Select Control 1/1 (User 5/10)

Select F2. Either play the lowest note on the keyboard, use the data wheel or cursor keys to assign the low note. If using the keyboard Audya will automatically move to thehigh note ofthe first voice, otherwise use F2 to move forward or F7 to go back.

Once you have assigned the note range for all three parts press SAVE, and then either User 4/9; Save To Disk (saves the *.SPG in User Date) or Save (User5/10) to overwrite the current Program from the Program Bank

Are you sure? I checked my procedure again and it is definately correct. You must choose either "Save To Disk" (User 4/9) or "Save" (User 5/10) the main SAVE button in the Data/value section should not respond at this point in the process.

TWD

I am sure the 5/10 save wasn't available, hence using the save button. I don't know why or doubt you.
