I am now the proud owner of a brand new Audya 5
Yes I already have the Audya 4 (2 1/2 yrs)
But was itching for the keyboard version.

I've had it almost 2 weeks now. just finished installing 2011, 2012, UK By Request updates.
All left to do is copy over my custom styles.
Will gig with it 1st time this weekend.
All left to do is a buy a hard case for it...

Guys, have i lost my mind ??

Yep, Got to pay the mortgage! I'll be selling my PA3X that I've had only abt 3 weeks. Just couldn't get into the Korg! I've missed my A4 ever since I sold it.

Wow, Looks like several of us have done the same thing!

My Pa3X is currently listed on E-bay for sale. I bought it in July 2012. Very disappointed in it. The few things I liked about it were so few, that I only took it on the job site three times.

I tried to like it but I guess I'm just TO SPOILED on the AUDYA!

Five years later, the Audya is STILL KING!!!!!!!!!!

I did recently purchased the Yamaha PSR S950 and must admit I do like it it better than the Tyros 3 I had.

Many of Yamaha styles are excellent, the 950 is light to carry and coming from an Organ background I enjoy the light touch of non-weighted keys.

However, I still remain one of Ketron's biggest fans and wouldn't trade my Audya for anything!!!!!!!

Havn't tried the 950, but had a Tyros 4 I really liked. If Yamaha comes out with a T5 or something I'll give it a look. But I think I'll be happy with the Audya 4 the second time around!
However, can't have too many arrangers!!

if he's short of money and the Audya are at the same high price level as here, you have to put in a bunch of dollars or give him a huge offer buy yours.

Even if the price level are dropped a bit here, it's still a long way before we are at same level as rest of Europe have to pay for it.
When Tyros 4 and PA3X 76 both are priced around 30.000,- Nkr, you have to add 14-15.000,- for the Audya.
(Nkr.5,54 = 1US$).

did TWD find the reasons for the problems you experienced and fixed all?

Skudes Audya was in, lets say "interesting" condition. The two main problems were:
1) It had a third party hard drive supplied by a specialist that was incompatible.
2) Although its a 76 note Audya it had somehow been tricked into accepting Audya 5 os (which should be impossible). That was a challenge to overcome!

But we got there in the end. A genuine Ketron Hard drive and software 'stripback' the Audya was reloaded from scratch and will be as good as new now.

Really good to hear that the long history of problems finally solved and that Skude's Audia now is as good as new!

But a "genuine Ketron drive"? Did not know that Ketron produce hard drives.
I guess you mean same model and setup on it as Ketron use when mount Audya, or.... ?

You are correct - Ketron do not manufacture hard drives themselves. however I meant what I said.

The Hard Drive installed in Skudes Audya was supplied by Ketron Italy - it is a genuine Ketron part with the Ketron Hologram. The reason for this is there is a possibility that Ketron use their own custom bios on the drives board, so to be on the safe side we only work with 'genuine Ketron parts'.

It is also good to know what happened, as poor Skude had a terrible time of it.

While i was trying to solve my Audya problem I did some gig'n with the T4, it's a great KB, but not quite what I wanted. Being a Korg guy since the POLY 800 synth was released I bought The PA3X. Since I know the Korg OS quite well I started doing the editing job from scratch. It was a lot of work, but you can get it to sound just the way you want, but you need to be patience, and I am.... When I got my Audya back from TWD, I was doing quite well with the Korg, and I made up my mind to just keep my Audya as a backup KB. Now it's been sitting in my studio collecting dust, and I've decided to let it go. I hate selling things, so that's why It's not been up for sale on FINN yet. The Audya is sure a great KB, the stylemodeling feature on the Audya is really great, and a easy way to change a style, some things I find better on the Audya and some better on the Korg. So GJ make me an offer, The Audya has factory setting like it was after return from TWD, never loaded any userstuff. Looks fine, comes with the FS13, volume pedal, nice filghtcase, your best buy ever. Let me know.
