1st Question...

Hi all,

Under disk utility, I found the following functions:

1. System Info
2. Restore

I inadvertently pressed System info & had to leave my Audya on right through the night as it started scanning every file on my hard drive & I was afraid to switch it off whilst doing so.

I've not yet had a chance to boot her up to see if everything okay. God forbids that I stuffed something up again.

What are the use of these two functions? If it can restore my hard drive, where does it store this restoration data to?

System info:- Audya goes through entire HD folder. Then displays details of contents (# of folders, files ...etc). Unless you have time on your hands, I wouldn't do this (much faster to hook up to a computer and get similar results).

Restore:- Restores HD System files

Hope this wasn't too late? Been a little busy .....

Tx AJ! What's the difference between this and the explorer type "disk" funtion? Not sure I understand completely...

Similar ... when you use windows to do the search, you get results in 5secs or less. When you use AUDYA's function ... (well, I edited the post above to reflect this) .....
