Korg's pa3x SONGBOOK vs. Audya's REGISTRATIONS... - 11/29/12 06:20 AM

i hear great things about Korg's songbook

what is so special about Korg's and how does it compare to Ketron's registrations?

what are main differences?

what can Korg's songbook do that Ketron's can't but should do?

perhaps AJ, Ketron should improve theirs in the next OS?

Maybe there are few here that use Ketron and Korg?

Hi Leezone!!!...
Song Book is similar with Registration of Ketron...
But with too better organisation... You can to organize all MP3, Midi Files, Styles in a File..
See this video tutorial..

.. And this can also be done on the Audya ... With BLOCK Registrations ... Assigning registrations, mp3, wave, style, voice, effects, DJ loops and text to the screen's F1-F10 for instant selection. The power of Audya really comes to life when you use a Registration (single) within a registration ( block)!

Thanks Sokratis

AJ or Sokratis

Question is can you specify the variation AND intro within the registration as you can on the Korg?

So I want to call up my song/reg and automatically have it goto intro 3, then to variation 2?

I think having INTROS included in reg is VERY important

AJ can you please ask Ketron to add in next OS

Registrations should save EVERYTHiNG relating to the style/song
Not just some things

Let me tell you, from one who has used both single and block registrations on an Ketron, the Roland system and Yamaha registrations and the Korg Songbook..

The Songbook is so so SOOOOO far in front of the Ketron system (and Yamaha for that matter)...Ketrons was a good system about 12 years ago, but with the first Songbook tool added for the PA1x series, there had been no competition...Only arguments from people who have only used one system (or company reps wink ) who do not see the forest for the trees....

Try selecting a registration on a Ketron or Yamaha from an iPad!!! And that is just one trick....Try having an "INSTANT" access to 9,999 entries, any one of which can be selected with the press of number, or a button or a pedal push, and all loaded in approx half a second, no matter WHAT resources are used!!!

No guys, the Korg Songbook is the single tool that separates all the others...one can argue for days (and fairly so) abotu the sounds and styles etc etc, but there is non argument re this brilliant tool!!

AJ can you PLEASE study this Korg Songbook
And improve Ketron's ??

Sokratis. The PA3X does save the intro on each song in songbook,
In my opinion, this is an ABSOLUTE MUST.

Maybe I'm the only one that does not want to remember which intro goes with which song?
And have to MANUALLY select its Intro AFTER I've called up the Registration?

Even Yamaha saves the intro of choice in Registration and/or Music Finder.
Korg Songbook is AWESOME, but Audya is very versatile as well if you use both Block and Single together.

Have to agree with Dennis, I have both the Audya and the PA3X, I think there is nothing better, the Korg songbook is way better then any other at the moment.

Ok Lee... I have check it... In Song Book files of Korg you can to have Intros etc...
My opinion is that Audya is realy a amazing instrument...
Real Band!!!
I am lover of Audya...
However in Pa3x, we have too much more possibilities of user development...

Activate Sync Start, Select your Intro, save the registration and see if that works.

Sokratis

i think Ketron should improve this amazing Audya

1st by adding INTRO to registrations

then examine Korg's songbook,
see what id does that Ketron's does not
and add to Ketrons

maybe Sokratis, abacus or those with both PA3x & Audya can make a "to-do" list for Audya registrations

are you hearing us AJ? :-)

oh, Audya could also benefit by adding "micro-edit" in the next OS

maybe we should start another thread:
"Audya To-Do List" or "Audya Wish List" ??
