Yes.
Make sure it is 40GB or less.
Once you install in your SX3000, it will ask you if you want to format the HD.
Confirm (say yes) and format.

2.5" IDE/pata type HD.
50 pins connector cable
You will also need the fiting kit as the HDD cables are almost impossible to obtain. Ask when you order your speakers.

The 2.5 IDE hard drive, does it have 50 pins?
