"Leaked" demos for new 60s Power Ballad

Today Robert Messier sent me some unofficial demos by email of one of the new styles that will appear in the first Ketron UK Style Update Pack. I hope its ok to do this, but I am going to 'leak' them

Absolutely PHENOMINAL

It's got that distinguishable Robert QUALITY all over it
This 1 style alone is worth the cost of the 6 style upgrade
So useful for 100's of classic ballads

Leezone is correct, The three demos above are all one style played in different ways. This style was my self indulgent choice and I am very happy its the first one to be finished I really wanted a style to use with A Whiter Shade Of Pale and i underestimated Roberts ability to produce something so versatile. As always I am totally blown away and very happy that you like what he is doing too.

Leezone did you notice the bassline in demo two at around 1:09 on?

There will be five styles in the first upgrade. and if they are well received Ketron UK will commission another five and so on.

but in the end what is the cost? Can be purchased just one style? thanks

cost, almost doesn't matter when you're dealing with styles of this QUALITY
they are worth every penny

Robert (the style creator) is a genious, who deserves to be compensated

Ketron UK Audya Styles Program

As of 1st June 2012 Ketron UK will release the first of an ongoing Live Style USB Update Program for Audya Series instruments. Each of the USB updates will contain Five Styles suggested by our customers and created in collaboration Robert Messier.

The first Five styles are a selection of our most requested so far and we hope you are happy with the choice:

Ballroom Quickstep - perfect tempo for one of the most classic dance floor styles.
Driving Beat - Your audience will want to Dance The Night Away as they search for Amarillo!
60s Power Ballad. - Vintage Live drums for classics such as 'He Aint Heavy, he's my brother' and 'Whiter Shade Of Pale'
Strictly Rhumba - perfect dance floor rhumba recorded at the correct tempo
50s Ballad - a 6/8 ballad for just about every top 10 ballad released in the 1950s.

To ensure the cost is manageable (for you and for us) the cost will be in line with the price of our competitors older MIDI technology premium styles.

SUGGEST A STYLE

As these styles are for you, then we need you to be involved. When (and if) you buy the first Style Update Pack you will be able to suggest three styles that you would like to see on the next update of five. If one or more of your styles is selected then you will get the next update free of charge. (if more than one person suggests the same style then we will randomly select a winner). This way it keeps us in touch with your wants and lets you have a say too.

i am looking forward also to that 50s Ballad
the Audya and I could really use some 6/8 styles, as most are 4/4

Robert is working on them as we speak and I will post demo's of the next one soon as they are ready.

I have a massively busy week coming up so I am not going to be able to get by here much but will keep you updated

also, with these new styles, do we have NEW audio drums, audio guitars, audio bass grooves?

First of all, the other styles do not exist yet, Robert is working on them now and as long as his health holds up they will be ready at end of this month. Then we need a little time to prepare them for you guys. Certainly its looking so much more positive now.

Piano and strings, i'll ask about that but I wont be able to get back to you again for a week or so now.

At the moment I can't answer on what the new styles are comprised of as they are not yet completed/started, if Robert needs to create/record new parts he will do, certainly for the 60s Power Ballad the lovely vintage Audio drums are completely new. I don't think the other drums we chose exist on the Audya at the moment either, but i'll let you know as Robert completes each one. I think its unlikely we will need new audio guitars for this selection though as there is a pretty good library available.

All Audio drums will come with the styles, we are not sure how they will be installed yet though, there are a couple of possibilities. It might be a self installer like the USB updates from Italy, if not then they will need to be User Audio drums which means there will be some files to copy into different locations.

By DANCE drums I presume you mean contemporary? if there is a call for it, why not?

Good morning. I apologize now for my bad English, I am Italian (I am using a translator). I wanted to know if you already have an idea of the cost of style. Also I live in Italy, I was wondering this pack can be purchased on the internet? And 'possible to ask to my shop in Italy? I explain the problem: can I buy it from someone with whom I can speak Italian (as I would have difficulty having a conversation in English in addition to the cost of the call)? I must I will contact KETRON uk? The cost will be equal for all countries?

They are not ready yet I'm afraid. Keep an eye on www.ketronmusic.co.uk as they will be released there.

By the way, there is another setback. On top of Roberts illness, the studio was flooded in a storm over the weekend and was in 4" of water. So we estimate an additional 2 weeks of delay.

The delays have been frustrating to all of us, but I have tried to keep you in the picture. Right from the beginning I explained we would only do this if Robert Messier is involved in arranging the styles - he became very ill, and then the studio was flooded. ..who can prepare for such events?

you can always buy styles from other people
many have created Audya styles and are selling them

now if you want THE BEST (in my opinion),
you must wait
if not, you can certainly do them yourself

Robert has been sick, cut him a break
He doesn't owe you or me anything
I am grateful that this GENIUS is working to help out the Audya users

this is not what I wanted to hear. If Robert was sick and had problems with his study this is not sure because of him, I admire Robert demonstrator was the best I've ever seen for the series AUDYA (no offense to others). She felt his absence in Musikmesse 2012.
So I wish a complete cure to Robert. and I hope to hear soon these new styles ... If you know where there will be news to read.
PS. Sorry, you said that others realize AUDYA styles and you can buy them .... I can give links to sites (just out of curiosity, I did not know there were people who create style for AUDYA charge.

...The "My Way" demo may be the best I've ever heard on any arranger.

most likey the styles will be available to order directly from the website on a USB stick. I don't think they will be downloadable, I will let you know as soon as I know.
