You are very good at 3D !

What software are you using?

I'm using:

- SketchUp for 3D modeling.
- Kerkythea for the 3D rendering.
- Photoshop for image treatment.

what is different in the AUDYA4 pic? less buttons? buttons in different locations?
it looks very much like the original

AudyaNeo4 have the same buttons, but in different location to make it compact.

AudyaNeo4 is a module of AudyaNeo.

The buttons are arranged in diferent way to make it more compact.

Understand?

dreamer: ok a don't want talk about your 3d model, are nice, but as you can joke you can make more compact a4 module, and 16:9 touch screen bit monitor ahah. but about questions: I'm italian, and talk with ketron many times. I use full the audya maybe like you and I like you questions that I have posted to ketron many times ago (ecxept of key tones). if very difficult to do it. why ? the answer was because not so many people ask about it. than this is a not proiority. (now my question is: what's ketron priority ? and my answere is: correct bugs without tell people that exist). I ask for make .ins files. for half bar fill (fill 2/4) or half reset bar, and many many and your questions too.
you want have your wav files to your drum kit ? go to pa3x but I think you know the different. we must love audya fot what is it now and hope correct some bugs. now I stoppped dream and think they are working on new project. the new update of auyda in future will be only minor corrections.
hope only in new styles, new audio drums. hope AJ stand up.. there are month that I count -9 -8 -3 now I stop believe it.
is the same story for all: another example was korg with pa1x.. little memory space for update. then they make pa2x, the same with some more plus. and they told" thare are more and more space for memory and future update".. but was the same story, after 2 years go out pa3x the same keyboard with only some plus. ketron is the only that make a new product innovations. of course, big limitation of sampler microphone vocalizer, little old display not touch screen and other that korg has. but the big difference is the arranger.
if we think when go out ( I have it 2 yeas only and wait before buy it, without sell may pa2xpro) and thik about time to make it (first demo was in 2007, then hardware is old then 2006) thenk I think hardware limitation of audya is full now. of course your request need only software, but how cost it and how many people buy audya after this update ?.. then like korg, like ford, bmw or fiat ahh, they prepare in silence the new model.. of course I hope to wrong.

The Ketron SD1 permits to add a drum kit sampled, i'm wrong? so, in Audya is only by User Audio Drum, but it works from diferent way. With one drum kit sampled I can use for Styles with midi drums. Or, the best of two sides: Using a User Audio Drum (whidout, Bass drum and crash cymbals), and use a .INS Drum Set with sampled Crash cymbals! Why? To fix the "audio cut issues" problem in Fill&Breaks using Audio Drums.

User Audio Drum is good but, if you have many wav files in your folder it dificult to shearch the 18 wav files, one by one, to diferent style parts!! (for a complete style). Solution: compile the association of name in Style Compiler, or have a search "working" on Keyboard.

I have a great idea to a new version of Live Guitar too!

I dont understand why the "expantion RAM" isnt avaliable yet!!??

I like very much Ketron Audya, but I now the lot of hardware&software limitation!

I'm afraid Ketron dont have possibility to launch a new product... I hope be wrong.

Re: Audya Neo Project 2011 - 09/08/11 09:26 AM

I know sd1 and possibility, and you know that in pa2x you can merge 6 layer of wav drum in each note ? of course in sd1 was nice 1 only too. the first aswer from ketron after this question was: "for what you need it ?, you have the audio drum".. ok understand but... you can infinite discussion with them is logical that they try to see in future only audio drum
if you whant more memory I hope some days and go out the expansion of Aj, thare are styles, audio, sounds, and memory too, plus some bugs correction if install hardware modification
about crash: do you remember the first super drum kit (3 kit) before the first and second pen upgrade ? there was big fantastic sounds stereo like crash, ride, snare ecc that r. messier post demo in ketorn site. then after the first pen upggrade they killed it, because need space. after my question for put it or put it in .ins format ... the answer was that no body use it then nothing. (but they was very good for remix midi styles. of course I hope for .ins and wav for user drum kit too but very very difficult

Re: Audya Neo Project 2011 - 09/08/11 10:31 AM

6 layer wav drum in each note in pa2x is very good!!

In 2008 Ketron have in specs the optional RAM expantion to 256MB...
In end of 2011 is not ready yet? I dont understand.

I dont believe AJ make a RAM expantion, and a hardware fixes...

New Styles, audio, sounds, ok I believe!

Yes, I remember the drum sounds in superkit after the first pen upgrade...

Audya can read drum kit .ins files, but... where they are?
Why the costumer dont have a posibiliti to create a drum kit .ins file?

Re: Audya Neo Project 2011 - 09/08/11 09:30 PM

Dreamer: The ram expansion is REAL it is coming. The reason i know is because i have it. The one i have is not 256 but 128MB+ internal 64MB.
It just may take time. For all Audya 76 owners like me, the soundboard is missing the pins to attach the ram expansion into. The soundboard can either be swapped out for an Audya 5 sound board (u will lose one of the digital ins or outs i forget at this moment) or u can solder in the pins- the holes are there it just needs the pins.

But it does exsist.

Re: Audya Neo Project 2011 - 09/08/11 11:54 PM

pearls: do you work for ketron for have the expansion ?
I hope will be possibile to apply the 256 to audya 76 without loose the in-out digital and without expensive hardware modification, but actualy is not so importat to have 256 ram because:
- we cannot create .ins file
- the current sounds from ketron are not so many good (only the sax but need much more memory)
- we cannot create drum kit with wav files ecc
maybe with Aj pack with more and good sounds I will see

dreamer: we cannot create .ins file because we need the software (proprietary of korg) and a audio card that use .ins format that is proprietary of korg. than you cannot use a simple pc program only.

and of course the msp limitation is very big

so I can understand the much more ram in korg, because you can full use the fantastic sampler, but in audya is only for use the sounds in hdisk from ketron.. and in next summer 2020 the new sounds from aj ahahha
is true... you can load .ins drum but where is it ?
nothing
I have 1 drum .ins file give me from ketron that reproduce some old sounds. but you cannot edit, you cannot use it sounds for mix with internal so big limitation

Re: Audya Neo Project 2011 - 09/09/11 09:34 AM

Pastroccio:

".ins" files in ketron is proprietary of korg? where???
INS is only a extension. Also exists the "Cakewalk Instrument Definition" in the same "ins" extension, and is not the same type of file. A .PAT file also represents "AutoCAD Hatch Pattern Definition" or a Pattern/Texture for Photoshop...

In Ketron I see the file "ins" for a "msp" file that we can't edit. But maybe I'm wrong. crazy

Pearlss:

Audya5 dont have a digital input & output?

So, the specifications given by Ketron are wrong? frown

Where is the "Design Engineer & Product Specialist"?

Re: Audya Neo Project 2011 - 09/09/11 11:54 PM

dreamer sorry of course I wrong write because fast
of course ".ins" is from ketron. but is not like you talk cakewalk extension, it is particular audio format
I talk along with ketron. maybe they do only for copy protection, I don't know, but is true that with only software we cannot modify or create .ins file from wav ecc
we need software plus hardware.
the only way is that they expand the msp mode, for add stereo files, more layer ecc (the actualy msm sampler is very bad, with only mono wavs, no layer ecc)
the delplian always so big then reality

Re: Audya Neo Project 2011 - 09/10/11 03:15 AM

I belive the sampler of ketron audya works with stereo wav samples. No??

hum... confused

I still think ".ins" instruments file for audya we can create and modify only with software.
Obviously for listen, and play the samples we need a hardware.

Hi,

the ( my wink ) Audya5 has NO SDPIF digital In- and Output.

So obviously the english Ketron - flyer is wrong !

Edit : I just had a look into the german version, it´s faulty as well crazy

Or meanwhile they have changed it and new Audya5´s have it built in again.

We missed this during the review and sorry for that. It's the same brochure that was used for AUDYA and I believe we 'forgot' to edit it further appart from replacing the name AUDYA with AUDYA 5.
