My feedback on the new version

I want to give some feedback on the new version:

General impression:

Had no problems with the new version so far, it seems at least as stable as the version before. Still a little bit upset that the user live guitar selection is still not working.
(Complaining on a high level as I do not really use this function but I don't understand this as it is perfectly repeatable and a lot of users complained that already )

I'm not sure but I have the feeling, that Ketron has rebalanced some the styles in a positive way.


New styles:

Congratulation, they are excellent
The XD styles are also well balanced and optimized for the Audya, the only drop of bitterness is the location of all
the XD styles: Unplugged section within the User styles.

Midi accordeon support:
-----------------------
Yes, they did it!!!
Now, more than 2 years after the first release, my accordeon is now supported like on the XD3, I'm very happy, I'm now
able to play w/o XD3. It is the interaction with the bass
even if it is auto bass.

There are still some minor issues if you play manual bass, but it is ok.

I'll be glad to see the new pen drive for my Audy 4. However, my dealer still doesn't know when it will arrive.

I use an accordion as well; Good to keon they have solved some issues w/bass.

I too play the accordion with the A4. I have the version 4.1B and don't know if I'm to update from the web site, wait for a pen drive or wait for AJ's version. Any suggestions?

From website is only OS. No new sounds. No new guitars etc
from PEN is OS plus all new sounds. Drums. Guitars styles etc
AJ's is a completely different and independent update

I loaded 4.2B from the website; it was painless! I called Ketron USA to ask abt the pen drive but they did not return my call! I'm hoping AJ will have his up and running soon.

you could update with Pen. AJ's or both
and AJs. Comes in a few flavors with or without hardware mod

Hi,

as Joe gave me the hint where to order the pen in Germany I did it and meanwhile I got the pen.

Installation without any problems ( I had the 4.2B installed 2 weeks ago, as well without any problems ), it took 2:25 hrs.

Prior the first use I did a sector-copy of the Audyas HD ( opening the Audya and connecting the HD via USB to my PC ).

Unfortunately I could test it only via headphones ( my daughter is sleeping ), but 1st impression is a good one

If there is somebody interested in I could record a few styles ( if I find a suitable melody for them ) and upload it to my youtube channel. But please give me a few days for that, next weekend I´m on duty.

It´s now 10:55 PM here, I´m tired and going to bed now.
