uuups, now you can download 4.2B from Ketron italy

Hi,

just saw, that on www.ketron.it it is now possible to download the version 4.2B. It really seems that 4.2A was a little bit buggy!

But be careful. It also says, that this version need 4.1B as predecessor, so it may be a problem to update from 4.2A to 4.2B

Thanks for the tip Joe. I didn't update to 4.B as I thought it was for the Audya 4. I don't know where this leaves me then.

I'm not a big fan of incremental updates

Give us full versions EVERYTHING
Or make ALL updates 100% compatible with all prior versions

I downloaded the itailian link, and it opens in english checked the included files are also in english as well. Go figure. Haven't applied it as yet but I assume (you know what that could mean) this update is universal.

remove 4.2a,install back 4.1b and than 4.2b,have it done,all works fine.

For those who have the 4.2A what is the procedure to remove it and install back 4.1B?

Remove 4.2a from root c and than reload 4.1 b from your pc or from ketron site,follow the instructions,

AJ this does not make sence. Why would you have to remove 4.2a and go back to 4.1b only to update to 4.2b. Something is not quite right. And is there any reason why there is no english conection on the Ketron it site. Is it that they either forgot to link it, or any other major reasob??? please somebody!!!!

how is this version?

Before I go through all these wild gyrations, I want to know of what concrete benefit will I have if 4.2A has been working fine. Although there could be some bugs I haven't found yet.

The other question is whether 4.1B and 4.2B have to be present for any future upgrades.

I'm working now with this version,untill now no problems,but i must say i had also no problems with 4.2a,what i understand was the midifile section had problems,i use no midifiles,only styles,userstyles,do lot of recordings,change many factory styles with new drums etc.works fine,load styles from usb no problems at all.

I did the update from 42a to 42b.

No problems found, and everything is working great so far.
I have no changes found in 42b in comparison with 42a.

I didnt find differences between the 4.2A and 4.2B .The bug of no kick drum when sometimes save the registration remains. And the screen bug also.

OK I see from my previous post we now have an english download with instructions, and I was right re not having to uninstall 4.2a, as the new patch should do this... goodo

There might have been a mis-translation somewhere.

As of OS 3.0 and higher, whenever you want to install a new Ketron AUDYA upgrade simply ...

* Remove the old *.mem file (in this case AUDYA41b.mem) from your AUDYA's root directory (you should only have 1 *.mem file at a time in there).

* Copy the new OS file into the AUDYA's root directory (where you deleted the ol file from).

* Turn off AUDYA and while holding down F10 and UNPLUGGED buttons together, turn on. Release once you see the upgrade screen.

*** You do not need to re-install a previous OS in order to install a new one!!

Does anyone know what changes were made between 4.1A and 4.1B?

I updated to 4.1A and now I'm back to having the Left or Right main Audio Out problem again! Have to re-boot a couple of times, then it's Ok.

Any thoughts on this??

Why do we have to manually remove/add this . Mem file in the root dir?
And then install update...
Shouldn't the update automatically take care of this?

Does this 4.2 a/b fix our audio loop timing problems?
If not, I will stay with 4.1b till there's an update that does fix this
As this is the biggest of the "bugs" as far as I'm concerned...

You maybe means 4.2A instead of 4.1A?

why use a, b versions

i say go from 4.2 to 4.3 even if just bug fixes
and when update has lots of new features, go version 5, 6, etc
