JUST COMPLETED NEW CD

Great job Jim... wondering if I can pick your brain. I've always wanted to do a light jazz instrumental CD of Christmas music. How did you go about securing permission from the song copyright holders to record the songs? Phone, mail, email, etc. And what is the fee structure - do you pay the copyright holder up front, give a piece of sales, etc. Thanks for any info you have, and good luck with the project.
