quistion for Aj

Hello,first,i,m new here,i,m a pro musician from Holland.
My quistion to Aj,have you an answer for me.
I,ve got my pendrive and i tryed to load it but after 2,3 minutes it stops,first i see audiofile 008,no problem,than audiofile 046 and than it stops at 12800k.
The message in display is:KSI SUCCESFULLY TERMINATED and than INSTALL ERROR 141.
I,ve contact Ketron,no answer yet.I have contact more people about this,i hope for more answers,so we can help also other Audya users with this problem.

AudyaPlayer,

What you are describing sounds like that particular file on the pen drive might be corrupt.

It's to bad Ketron's OS isn't Vista or Windows 7. It would be easier to troubleshoot a problem like yours.

Hopefully AJ or other SZ Audya owners will help figure out your install glitch.

A corrupt file was the first thing I thought of.

I,ve contact the Ketron guys from Germany and i must send all the files with TXT and LOG extensions at the end from my Audya,not from pen-drive,
Is this not the same text and information as on stick than it stops the update.
You can open the 00ktninstall00 file from your stick with microsoft office word and see the info.

I,ve looked on the c root from my Audya for the txt and log files for the Ketron guys in Germany,but nothing is on my Audya only TST files.They have no answer for this problem and send it to Ketron Italy.We'll wait for the answer and i write it here wenn i know more about this.

If you try to install the Sound upgrade into a unit that already has this upgrade installed previously, you will get such an error display. Are you sure the new sounds were not already installed on your machine?
Please confirm.

I,m 100% possitive there are no new sounds on my Audya,my Audya is from last year 2009 febr.
Can you tell me what files have the latests Audya's on c root.I have only tst files.

9708f10b tst
alltabs.tab
autorun.
I have also answer from other Ketron guys that my pen drive is broken down?
But still no answer from Ketron italy.

you should also see the *.mem file. This should have been copied from the USB stick first...have you done that?

Do you haw this file and what they are?

Please delete the file OOKTNINSTALL.log and try install your Pendrive again.

I,m back with some answers,first the Ketron guys from germany answered my question,they said that my whole factory system is missing on my Audya and must reinstall the whole system,send it back to dealer,is for me no option,i play every day,that take weeks to have it back,other ketron members said that my pen drive is broken,i don,t believe that.Now i've seen the answers from ketron user,dusan,tonewheeldude,thanks for that.

Yes, Audyaplayer,you must copy that files to root directory in your Audya HD.

I,m very disapointed,my Audya can not read the pen-drive,i had a little hope with the files from Dusan,but no result.Get to an friend of mine who has also an Audya and we compare between those 2 Audya's.Looked at rootc,everything is the same,
Than i loaded his pen-drive,he made first an copy from his stick on his pc,and than he update his Audya.We loaded the data from his pc on new pen-drive.But no result,now i got message INSTALL ERROR 241,than we tryed one more time my pen-drive,clean first root c with mem file,loaded mem file from my stick,start update,now got the message INSTALL 141.
Now i have make an appointment with dealer for benelux, so they must fix this problem.
Still no answer from Ketron.it.
They better remove CONTACT US from side,you got no answer.I,m very depressed.I look with one eye to tyros4.

i am so sorry cos you cant update your instrumen.That is wery frustrated I know.Here is one wery inportant thing.Maby you dont know that.Ewery pendrive from Ketron with update data is unique.That mean you can update only one Audya who you haw.In ather Audya instrument that pendrive is unusable.So ewery Audya haw a special kay who you cant used in ather instrument.
Maby is that the problem what you haw.
And yes:Tyros4 is my option too....

If you can't send your Audya back and you have missing system files you can request a system restore disk through your distributor. (presumably you did not back up the hard drive data yourseld?)

Not sure if there is a version 4 restore set yet, but it doesn't matter as the USB pendrive contains everything you need - so even a version 2 set will be fine (but I know Ketron produced a version 3 set)

If you are worried you have messed up the data on the pen drive, they are not expensive so order another at the same time.

Thanks for repley tonewheeldude,i got another answer from Ketron benelux,they said the stick is broken down,is the answer from ketron.it.The stick contains all data so it must always restore itself they said,that is true i think,cause my buddy's Audya update his Audya with 2.0a and after update pen-drive everything was inside,so now i,ll get an new stick and hopes that this works.I,ll have an good feeling about this and i am keeping my Audya that's for shure,seen the t4 movies,nothing spectacular new,only very expensive update.

Waiting for new stick and than i,m back with hopefully positive answer.I must send back my stick to ketron.it so they can look what is wrong about it,hope i get an answer

Sorry to read about your upgrade problems.

I was the first to reply to your post and said it was probably a corrupt file on the pen drive!

Hopefully a new pen drive is the answer and you get your upgrade accomplished.

Once you get the upgrade completed, the new sounds will be worth your aggravation.

I,m back with an answer of my problems last time with my Audya.
Finaly i got my second pen-drive, i start to load it and----------SAME PROBLEM sh......f.......
but my story is not finished,i noticed when i play some mp3 files and waves,and than go back to my styles section,the audiofiles messed up realy bad,switch of the Audya and turn it on problem is gone so could the problem maby bad mp3's or waves?,first i remove all the mp3's and start to reload the pen-drive,and------BINGO,it works,hallyluja.
So my friends,finaly i also got the new sounds and it's the best i ever heard,fantastic.
Keep on playing,the Audya is for me the best there is.

congratulations on fixing your problem. It is reassuring to have more and more people using and supporting the Audya now. I have also just recently purchased the Audya 4 and look foward to joining the Audya community.

How do you setup your Audya to do your gigs? Do you use Playlists?

I do not use playlists,i,ve made a couple of hundred regs and use them,and play what is the best at the moment,because every gig is different.
But my Audya sounds great,i,ve been reprogramming all my regs now because my programsounds are all different,a lot of work but i got 3 days for my next gig,i must look how i can load some older programs back that i,ve made in the past,but for now back to programming.
