VCE ? - 08/24/10 09:48 AM

Since two weeks I play with the new Audya 4.
OS 4.1B
Who can tell me, how I can get access to the
VCE-function?
Unfortunately I haven`t got a manual.
My Dealer told me, it will be delivered later.
Keep swinging

Hi.

Why wait for the manual- you can download it right here:
http://win.ketron.it/manuali/manualeAudyaEng.zip

And here you can download the specs for the sound upgrade:
http://www.ketron.it/images/ketron/manualiPdf/AudyaNewSound&Other.pdf

With regards to the new VCE functionality - it is not something you can switch on/off, it is merely built into some of the voices.

The Voice Character Emulation function is a new feature used with Ketron's voices. It adds nuasance to voices such as Sax, Guitars, Flutes ... etc to bring them to life. These sounds copy the characteristics of the associated instruments e.g. clicks and breath of Sax, frete noises and slides of guitars ... etc.

In PROGRAM mode or if you EDIT a PRESET VOICE, you can turn this feature OFF by deleting it from the Voice menu ... not sure why you would want to though. In many cases, these voices are played/added automatically by AUDYA depending on which key was just pressed or in anticipation (based on chords) on which key you will press ... pretty impressinve AI going on here...

Thanks,

AJ
