SD5 is step up for Ketron, so we wait for SD7, which will be new generation SD1 with 512Mb sample RAM , no limit hard disc and USB 2.0

Do it, Ketron!!!!

frankieve,

The SD5 is actually slightly different from the SD1 in the following:-
* No sequencer.
* No sampler.
* New and better styles (using our new style prgramming format).
* New sounds in many categories especially Guitars and Organs.
* New features such as RIFF, Smart 7th, ...etc.

New reports on those who came for the FL show will be able to explain in their own words once they get back.

Thanks.

Does no sequencer mean no midi file playback, or just the ability to create midi files?

Also how is the playback handled? is it faster and easier than the SD1 or about the same?

only 8 character naming?

thanks

Frankieve,
The SD5 DOES have midi playback, but no sequencer. You can check the full specs here: http://www.ketron.it/prodotti/dettagli.asp?sezione=1&idProdotto=23
