NEW Regarding Connecting XD9 to a Computer

I downloaded and installed the KetronFT software, opened it and selected a comport, but when I clicked on connect a Ketron "TIMEOUT ERROR" dialog box appeared after a short time.

The XD9 was previously connected via the computer cable and it was turned on. Also, I had used MIDI F6, ESCAPE F5, UTILITY F10 and COMPUTER F1 to set COMPUTER to PC.

Was there some other setting that had to be changed in the XD9? The computer just doesn't recognize the XD9! What is wrong here?

Pls. try using another COMM port as the one you selected might already have an item on it. Also make sure XD9 is up and running prior to opening the software. What windows OS are you running?
