Ketron Naam 2006 - 01/08/06 02:41 AM

Hi hers a cheaky question for anyone going to the namm show or maybe even someone from Ketron.

Is there anyone who is able to video one of the ketron demos at the show. I would like to hear the SD1 plus as i have an SD1. Im in the UK and as much as i would love to come to the show i dont think it willbe possible but would love to see what the ketron stand is like and see how the pros demo this wonderful instrument.

The Peter Bartrams demo on the Tyros 2 was excellent i would love to see similar from the ketron group and see it posted on the web.

Anyway a fabulous product keep up the good work.

There's very little difference with the SD1 plus over the SD1. The plus has a bigger piano sample if my memory serves me corectly and maybe a few other bits and bobs which are available to the SD1 if you upgrade to the latest software version.
I have a SD1 and have also heard the plus. To me there is little difference at all and it certainly isn't worth upgrading to. I didn't like the preset piano in the SD1 until I messed about with editing it.
It's about time a SD2 came out what with all the other manufacturers showing new products, I'm sure Ketron will have something up their sleave for later this year.

Now I'll probably have the EXP loaded into the SD1Plus at the show. That will definately be worth listening to.

Ok, it's confirmed. The SD1Plus-EXP will be at the NAMM show this year(it's the keyboard that I will be using).

The SD1Pus-EXP software package will also be available at the NAMM show.

With the other standard SD1Plus not more than 15" away from me, you will be able to compare and get the drastic difference in the internal ROM sounds, the new Sounds, Styles ..etc. It would be nice for someone to record the demos - I agree!!

Shade of pale,
Yes you can regardless of OS. You just have to make sure your EPROM (DISK, UTILITIES, DISK CONTROLLER) is 5.0 or higher. You can either get one from your local dealer or I will have to include one in your package ($40.00).

Dazza,
I am also the demonstrator for KETRON in the US, so that rules me out of the video. Hope I can get someone else with 3 days to go!!!

Ketron AJ

Im sure your a top player stick a video player omn the stand and record yourself doing the demos. I keep reading topics from you and about you its always nice to put a face to a name.

Hope the show goes well, ive got the SD1 but as yet i take it Ketron havent produced anything top end thats worth changing for.

Aj, would I be able to tell if my eprom is 5.0 without having to open the keyboard?

To test your EPROM version:-

* Press DISK.
* Press UTILITIES (F8).
* Press DISK CONTROL (F8).

If release is less than 5.0 you will need new ERPOM chip from me.

Thanks,

AJ

PS: All X1/X4 users will need new EROM with package.
