SD1 - Did something stupid

SD1 - Did something stupid - 10/13/06 07:37 AM

Last night I was in the Master Folder and I somehow managed to load something that I shouldn't have. The result is that none of the patterns work correctly. The drums and bass are muted and the rest of the sounds are messed up. Midi files still work just fine.

Can someone please let me know what I need to do to reset the keyboard. I'm going to purchase the SD-1 expansion but I need to get this straightened out first.

Thanks!

Bob,

You probably have OS4.0 and reloaded files associated with OS3.0 or earlier (since these are (should be) the only files found in your RELOAD folder.

You might have to go back to the STANDARD or ORIGINAL [depending on which 4.0 was installed] folder created prior to installing OS4.0 and reload the files in there. That should do it.

Thanks,

AJ,

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, I didn't create a folder in the hard drive when I originally loaded version 4.0b. I sent you an email to give you an update on the problem and the SD-1 expansion.

Thanks!

Bob,

Please think back - when you loaded 4.0B, did you .

(A) Use only 3 floppy disks and so loaded 4.0B - No Sound (ORIGINAL).

OR

(B) Use about 14 floppy disks and so loaded 4.0B New Sound (STANDARD).

Let me know.

AJ,

I loaded the new sounds (standard). It was a lot of floppys.

Thanks!
