Can xd9 pattern RAM be expanded?

The pattern holding area which is called RAM on my xd9 will hold about 50 patterns.Can this be expanded and if so to what extent. What is the max patterns on this RAM? About how much would this cost and how easy is it to install?

I am almost 100% sure that this memory expansion is similar to the one available for the X-series. The number of patterns that this expansion will hold, depends on the size of the pattern files. I have my 99x2 locations (on an X4) full of patterns and plenty of memory still free. The expansion is extremely easy to install.

Does pattern expansion come loaded with any patterns or is it empty?

It's just RAM empty memory.

Once the pattern memory is installed, you can hold 200 patterns internally.
