How do turn my D-20 sequences into XP-80 sequences?

I'm trying to send my sequences from D-20 to XP-80. I'm going midi out on D-20 to midi in on XP-80 setting it to slave and hitting record per manual instructions. Everything is going to one track, I think. But the sounds seem faint and distant.

Figured out the sequencing issues from yesterday thanks to your help. Can you help with this one?
